I’m not a fan of bully romance so I was ecstatic that it read more as an enemies-to-lovers romance which I adore. I loved Ella’s background story and how she came to the Royal household, but man her reception by the boys was COLD. Sometimes I shy away from high school romance books because they read “too adult” in my mind, or they fit too much in the bully romance category, but this one was so, so good. I definitely did not expect a cliffhanger but that just means I’m on to book 2. Wow! This book was so much more than I expected. Now Ella has to learn to survive her new prep school, the wrath of the Royal boys, the deception around her and not fall for the ruthless of them all- Reed. The Royal boys hate her on the spot, but none more so than Reed. That is until Callum Royal uproots her life and plops her into his mansion amongst his own five sons.
